Jennifer Rossi
Attorney
Jennifer Rossi (she/her) is a skilled trial lawyer with nearly 30 years of experience. She founded her own law firm in 2010, the Law Office of Jennifer Rossi LLC. Jenn litigates civil lawsuits and arbitration matters, from commencement through trial and appeal, focusing her law practice in the areas of business/commercial litigation, construction litigation, and personal injury. In various state and federal courts, and arbitration tribunals, Jenn has obtained a multitude of impressive results on behalf of her clients, who range from individuals to small or family-owned businesses, to large businesses and large-scale commercial construction contractors, and to a subsidiary of a global financial institution. Among several other federal regulations, Jenn regularly provides counsel to clients defending claims under the Fair Credit Billing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Truth in Lending Act, and their state law counterparts. Significantly, all of the experience listed on this website are results that Jenn obtained on behalf of her clients since founding her firm in 2010.
In recognition of the high regard in which her peers hold her, Jenn maintains Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer-review rating of AV Preeminent, which she has held since 2012. In addition, Jenn has been selected as a Connecticut Super Lawyer each year since 2013. In 2015, she was named by Super Lawyers as one of the Top 25 Women lawyers in Connecticut. Jenn earned the respect of her peers and clients through unwavering dedication, meticulous preparedness, and proven results.
Jenn is licensed to practice law in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.
After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut in 1992, Jenn attended New England School of Law in Boston and obtained her Juris Doctor in 1995. She commenced her legal career in Boston, working for a boutique litigation firm. It was there that her trial skills were primed by a few of the best trial lawyers in the Commonwealth, teaching Jenn valuable lessons that she has carried with her over the course of her career.
Thereafter, Jenn worked at prominent litigation firms in Atlanta as an associate and then as a partner. Her career experience includes working at a large international firm in its complex commercial litigation division. There, Jenn had the pleasure of working with two established and remarkable women litigators for the first time in her career and who left a lasting impression upon Jenn. When she returned to Connecticut in 2006, Jenn worked for a mid-sized regional firm where she chaired the Consumer Financial Services Team of that firm’s business litigation group and served as a coach and trainer in that firm’s in-house trial training program.
In addition to managing her law practice full-time, Jenn consistently dedicates time to professional organizations and volunteers in her community. Over the years, Jenn has written and lectured extensively on trial, litigation, and general law firm practice subjects for a variety of professional associations and entities, including the Connecticut Bar Association, the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and the University of Connecticut School of Law. Jenn volunteers to judge moot court competitions at the graduate, collegiate, high school, and middle school levels in Connecticut. Jenn also volunteered to serve as a cultural companion to a Syrian refugee family with Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services and volunteered to serve in several roles with the West Hartford Public Schools (WHPS). For WHPS, Jenn managed morning announcements for six consecutive years, served as a room parent for five consecutive years, co-chaired International Night events, participated in Positive Learning Team meetings and, more recently, served as a PTO member for Hall High School for four consecutive years where she was Hall’s Representative for the Community of Concern (a parent group focused on equity and the mental health, safety, and overall wellbeing of students in the community) and One Community for Equity (a collaboration of educators, parents, and community partners focusing on equitable schools and an equitable community). In 2020, Jenn accepted an invitation from Hartford Hospital to speak to the community on issues related to helping families connect with resources and reducing stigma in the community on mental health. In 2023, Jenn was invited by WHPS to join a panel consisting of four parents and spoke to Hall High School’s teachers and staff about creating a welcoming and inviting culture and ensuring that all students are seen, valued, and heard.
Jenn is passionate about issues surrounding climate change, steadily striving to learn more and do better for our planet. In 2023, Jenn was appointed as Trustee for an investment trust that owns innovative waste sorting technology that will reshape waste-handling infrastructure and provide sustainable growth, benefiting our environment.
